Teach Soap

Um, yeah. I wouldn't think so at all. Now, I'm no expert, but I am under the impression that in order for anything to effect your cholesterol, it would have the be metabolized. I'm almost positive your body can't metabolize something if it isn't ingested.
Besides, I am of the firm belief that most saturated fats in moderation are NOT bad for you. I cook with CCNO almost as much as I soap with it, and my "good" and "bad" cholesterol counts are perfect.

But, if this is true, would a sugar scrub make you fat?

Not unless she eats the soap.

This woman believes that coconut oil is bad because it is a saturated fat. People mistakenly believed that all saturated fats were bad for you for quite a while. [which is why it was pulled from US shelves for many years]. But we now know that there are 2 types of fat, the good kind and the bad kind, HDL, and LDL, respectively. At any rate, if you look at it realistically, the people who live in tropical climates and who have a diet high in coconut oil are healthier, have less heart disease, cancer, colon problems and so on, than all of us unsaturated fat eaters. In fact, there has been research to show that coconut oil lowers LDL cholesterol

So, if a small percentage of that oil was absorbed by her skin, then it really would be a good thing. But to enjoy all the benefits of it, she needs to eat a diet of it.
