Teach Soap

so i made a batch today, lavender with lav buds and colored it a light purple (or it is supposed to be). i used lab colors from bb and i used the royal purple and the brilliant blue which is supposed to turn a light purple. but right now its green. someone please tell me that its going to change, PLEASE!?

Heya girl. Good to see you back. It will probably change slightly. If you used something like EVOO that is a green in color, or some yellow oils.....well.....yellow+blue=green. I find that when I use blue labcolor my soap looks grayish brown when I pour into the mold. After it gels, cools and cures, it's a nice blue. I wish I could tell you that it'll be the blue that you want, but it might not be. Keep in mind the colors of your oils/butters will affect the outcome of your final color. If it's not the color you want, have some fun with the label and call it something unique. But honestly, I think it'll turn out OK.

If you used any oils or butters that are either yellow or green that will effect the final color that you get. Give it some time. It could still change.

you know i did use a different brand of olive oil, and it was slightly more yellow than normal. the brilliant blue is blue in the bottle but the color chart shows that is should change to purple. i hope yall are right that the color might still change otherwise this will be my first batch that didnt turn out the way i wanted.

IT CHANGED!!! While I was sleeping the soap fairies came and made it purple! Wahoo!
