What is a good combo of oils for a really white soap?

tallow, sweet almond oil, castor and coconut

I have not started using tallow yet. What I have on hand is Olive, coconut, canola, soybean, castor, sunflower, and safflower. Mango and shea butters as well.

The lighter the oils and butters, the lighter the soap. If your olive is light you can use it. Coconut and/or soybean would be a good choice. If you butter is refined, that should help as well.

I just made a really nice white soap for the Hoildays using crisco, cococnut, castro and soy, added some white kaolin to off set the soy and fragrance oil from any little discoloration, plus it is nice in soaps I think. Just watch your fragrance oil/esst oil to make sure they do not discolor.

If you want to stick to just vegitable oils, soybean gives a very white soap, so make your % of soybean high
