Just unmolded a tried and true recipe for Avacodo oil soap and it feels greasy. I was very careful with the recipe and this has never happened before. I don't see any lye pockets and there were no oil puddles anywhere. Do you think it will dry a little over time. Any guesses as to what happened
48 oz Avocado oil
6 oz Castor
40 oz Coconut
16 oz Olive
24 oz Palm oil
48 oz Water
18.91 oz lye

The recipe looks ok to me. Maybe a little soft due to all the avocado oil. I would have used less water; maybe 40 ozs. of water. Is your scale accurate? Is it possible that it overheated? I would give it a day or two, then check the soap for zap.

Thanks, Soap Buddy. That's what I was thinking but I wanted someone else to confirm. Have made this particular recipe 7 or 8 times and it comes out great usually. It is my favorite soap, lots of lather and it feels great on the skin and is not drying in any way. Thanks again for the input!
