I'm starting to make soap

I am very new...just started like this week

I bought 10 soaps (a dollar each) from this lady that wanted to get rid of her Goat milk soaps asap...my soaps are not ready of course so I bought them...

She said she only used water, lye, and goats milk....is it possible to make soaps with just these ingredients? Don't you need fats/oils?

I've never heard of anyone doing it this way, but I guess it's possible. Fresh goat's milk does have natural fats. I wonder how much she superfatted. There is no way of knowing exactly how much fat is in the goat's milk, as the milk fat changes from season to season and around kidding time. If it was me, I would be a little leary if they were only a $1 each. Are you sure it's cold process and not MP?
