What are the advantages of using coconut oil in soap making? It seems to dry my skin. Have others had this problem?

I find if I use more then 20% coconut in my formula it's drying. At 20% or less I'm fine. How much coconut are you using in yours?

How do you get accurate measurements each and every time? If this is a small batch, there is more room for error using cups. 1 gram in a small batch could make it lye heavy. How much are you superfatting? I would strongly suggest that you get a scale. You will get more consistent results that way.
