For the past few weeks I have read so much and I came across a recipe for a soap bar that was designed specifically for salt water bathing. I'm headed to a severly drought stricken island and it would be so lovely to take friends a bar that could be used in the ocean. Can some one point me in the right direction, I sure would appreciate it. Mella

edit to add I can't remember where I saw this! LOL that's the dilemma.

I would think that a soap that was Coconut oil heavy and maybe some castor oil would work fine in salt water those are the oils I used making my salt bar and the bars lather nicely. Maybe as much as a 10% superfat as well. I haven't tried it specifically for use in salt water but it stands to reason that this combination might work.

Thanks Jethro. If all else fails I will try the salt bar idea!

I read a specific recipe for soapthat was specifically made to be used in the ocean, one that works well in seawater and that's what I am attempting to track it down, retracing my footsteps from the past week.
