I was wondering, I see some soapers list water and sodium hydroxide in their ingredients list, is this necessary? The final product does not contain sodium hydroxide right? And does all the water evaporate as well?

The other thing I noticed is that some list glycerin and some don't. Since CP soap makes glycerin should that be added as an ingredient too? Just curious as always :mrgreen:

As many as there are soapers, you will most likely get a different answer for each.
Some list the water, some list the lye, some say "Saponified oils of....

I would not list glycerin, unless it has been specifically added.

I agree with Soapbuddy. We see both, and they are both fine. I would just make sure you at least have all the oils and butters and any additives listed. As far as the wording do what you feel is right. :D

Yup, you need INCI names. We have to have our labels in English, French and INCI!!!! Headache territory!!! Just Google INCI or ask your supplier.

For soap, what is the proper thing to do for colorants - listing the full INCI names or will "colorant" suffice?
