I'm sorry if this sounds ignorant, I just don't know so that's why I'm asking.
When you use PH strips to test your soap, you need to get it wet right? Would the PH of the water not mess with the PH reading? Are there other ways or better ways to PH test your soap? How do you PH test liquid soap? If you remill a soap to lower it's PH will that mess with it's lather or hardness?

Rub water over your soap first than test with a dry Ph strip. They are not very accurate. PH meter is more accurate.
Rebatched soap will not necessarilly change it's PH.

If you have a good tried and true recipe, you will not need to check the PH. It's also very helpful if you have an accurate scale.

Well that's too bad I have one for my fish tank and I think it cost me $20.00. I don't have the $100+ to shell out on that fancy one, but eventually I will. I should get it to check my lotion PH anyhow...
