Teach Soap

My sister in laws wedding is in Nov. and she asked if I could make her soap favors. She needs 80 soaps. I think the easiest thing would be loaf molds so I could cut them into bars. I wanted them to be like a "guest" soap size.

Do any of you know where I could get affordable (plastic) loaf molds that make smaller bars? I did a search and found nothing. Any other ideas?

You could use Carr's cracker boxes and line them. 2 1/4" square. Better yet, go to the hardware store and buy pvc piping 2" diameter. Get the silicone sheets (you can buy those a wal mart or any other discount store i'm sure and cut to size and slip inside the piping. If you do that i would go with 2 1/2" pvc pipe. The hardware store should be able to cut that to size. Home depot has a stopper you can put on the end of it or you could use wax paper and rubberband it to the end. There is a good explanation of brambleberry website under Anne-Marie's blog. I think if you do a search in under how to make orange slices or something like that. Good luck. It would be cute to get a stamp and stamp each one.

I wanted squares thats just what came to mind, and would fit nicely in an organza baggy.

Ya know if you had someone that is handy with power tools and had elementary carpentry skills, they could make you a wooden mold that's 2" wide. My hubby made me 2 really nice wooden molds.

I like the tray mold that has 16 guest squares....I dunno, is it Milky Way?

Otherwise, yes a 2" pipe would be fantastic!
