Okay I have read quite a bit of the posts on here, and I still don't understand what you guys are talking about. What is a gel? I know it might be a silly question, but I have to know, its driving me nuts not to know. Maybe I have not read enough soap books yet! And what does it mena to not gel? :roll:

It's an exothermic reaction between the oils and lye. It will become semi liquid, hot and possibly darken.

To not gel means to prevent this reaction by putting the soap in the fridge or the freezer to slow down the saponification.
