When you say you don't gel. Does that mean you don't cover the soap once you pour it into the mold? By covering, I mean with saran wrap, not wrapping it up in a towel. I assume you don't wrap it up in a towel and stick in fridge or freezer. How long to you leave it in the fridge or freezer? And, when you do you cut it, right away, 1 day after taking it out of fridge, 2 days? Thanks all.

I don't insulate the soap. I do put a piece of wax paper over the top to keep it clean. Depending on the scent used, I do anything from keeping a fan on the mold to help dissipate heat or put it in the fridge or the freezer for at least a couple of hours. With some fragrances that like to overheat, I put the soap in the freezer and leave it there overnight.

After I take the soap out, I let it come to room temp, then cut it. It's still caustic at this point so rubber gloves are helpful.

This type of soap does take longer to saponify since there's no heat involved. I cure all my soaps for at least 6 weeks.

You're welcome.
If you're fairly new to making CP soap, I would gel til you get the hang of it.
