First CP batch... when to cut?

I made my first CP batch about 26 hours ago. Just attempted to unmold it, out of PVC pipes and it's pretty soft. If I push with my finger it fairly easily indents. Do I need to wait awhile longer, did I do something wrong so it won't set up fully? Advice

My soap is normally fairly hard within 24 hrs. Can you freeze it, push it out, then after it comes back to room temp slice it? You can leave the mold in the freezer safely overnight.

Yeah, when I used PVC it was almost a necessity to freeze to remove. Once you give it a little push to get started though....pretty easy to get out!

I don't think it is specific to PVC but that's what I use for molds (mostly) and I find I'm much happier with unmolding after 48 hours. I still sometimes refrigerate if it feels a little soft but it's usually fine without that. If I try to push them through sooner it can get a bit messy.

I don't have a picture but it's just a 12-15 inch piece of PVC pipe ( I used about 1.5 in diameter for sample/guest size soap, you can use 2 or 2.5 inch for regular size bars). Take a piece of plastic wrap and fold it several times to get a 4 or 5 layer thickness and attach it to one end with a rubber band. voila! Mold!
