I know this is a CP Soap forum but maybe you can help me. I made some HP goat milk this weekend I tried my best to soap it as cool as I could. Froze the milk and my crock pot set on warm not low. It took a long time to get done but it did not stay creamy white. Its a light brown and while it was cooking there was a strong ammonia smell to it. Is it possible to keep it creamy white in HP soap?

You won't get white with milk in HP soap. That ammonia smell is from the milk. It should go away as the soap cures.

Ok thanks that is what I thought. Yes the smell has gone away.
