I did some experimenting with small batches a few years ago and went as high as 30% emu in one of them.

I have to say, they were the creamiest bars I've ever made!

^^^So, to answer my question, is "Emu oil" really the fat from INSIDE the animal like LARD, or is it from the OUTSIDE of the animal, like LANOLIN?

^^^No worries! I was thinking of an emu more like cattle, and not like a bird at all! Had I searched the memory banks, I would have deduced that emu don't have fur. ;)
