Teach Soap

I've been making HP soap up until today. I just poured my first cp batch. I only made a little batch in case its a flop. I used the red apple fragrance sample I got from BB. So I guess I will let you all know in a few days.

Good for you! I prefer to make CP soap.

Congratulations on your first CP batch!

Well I've unmolded my first batch yesterday...FYI I used a pringles container. I was a little worried because I couldn't see it, but I peeked at the top once in awhile. I used a wine bottle cooler bag to insulate rather than wrap in towels..seems to have worked perfect.

So some of the soap tube was deformed but that was only because I didn't pack when pouring..kinda forgot. Other than that I got more than 75% good cut soap out of the mold. The plastic coating on the inside of the pringles container stuck alittle bit but came all off. I have some pictures that I will post tonight when I get home. I used the red apple scent that I got from BB, just so I could play with fragrance and I used Alkanet power to play with powder, so I have a red apple smelling purplish soap...its kinda funny.

Congrats Galina,

For CP moulds you might find the silikon baking forms easier to work with. For instance the bread forms. They are easy to demold, wash and use again.

I was thinking of trying those. I also have some drawer organizers that I got from the dollar store that seem to work pretty good. Only thing with those is I don't get a bar that is symetical, because the organizer sides are pitched alittle. So I kind of get a trapazoid shape.

Well I think it is exciting you did your first batch. I love red apple fo and purple happens to be a fav with me! Yeah for you I've used drawer organizers, silicone trays, and my main "mold" is a lidded plastic box from Home Depot which gives me three logs cut into 11 one-inch bars. I line it with plastic and so it is simple to remove.
