Which is better? Or does it matter?

I like freezer paper. I haven't used parchment paper before, so can't comment on that...but I have used wax paper before and it's too thin and tears easily.

I like whatever one makes a sharper crease when folding. I think freezer paper is better, but some disagree, so might be the brand I use.

But they both work well so use the one you find easiest to work with, is cheaper, or easiest to find.

I like freezer paper better.

I know the voices in my head aren't real, but they sure have some great ideas!

I prefer silicone so I don't need either! Lol But if I must, I prefer freezer paper and (here) it is cheaper, so bonus!

Another vote for freezer paper! Shiny side toward the soap.

Parchment!! I use Reynolds brand, which has silicone in it and is less expensive than others. Easily available in supermarkets. Slides right off my loaves, and makes a very sharp crease when I'm doing the lining.

Definitely freezer paper.
