What You’ll Need:
2 cups Sodium Bicarbonate
1 cup Citric Acid
6 mL Pikake Flower Fragrance Oil
Approximately 4 drops Rosy Pink La Bomb
Rose Petals
Witch Hazel
10 Bath Bomb Mold and Packages
Optional: 8oz Bottle with Spray Top, 2 Droppers
ONE: In a bowl that is dry and clean, portion out 2 cups of sodium bicarbonate and 1 cup of citric acid. Work out any clumps with your hands. You can also pour the mixture through a sifter.
TWO: Using a dropper, add 6 mL of Pikake Fragrance Oil to the powder and mix it in with your hands. You may want to wear gloves to protect your nails, as citric acid takes off nail polish.
THREE: Pour half of the mixture into a separate container. Make sure both bowls are large enough to mix the bath bombs by hand. To one bowl, add about 4 drops of Rosy Pink La Bomb colorant. Mix the color in with your hands.
FOUR: Spray each color with witch hazel 4 times and mix in with your hands. Squeeze the powder in your hand to see if it holds its shape. If it doesn’t, spray more witch hazel and mix until the mixture holds together. Don’t spray too much or the fizzies will start to go off in the bowl.
FIVE: In one half of the bath bomb mold, add 3-4 rose petals. Add a handful of white powder on top of the roses.
SIX: Add a small handful of the pink powder on top of the white. Pack the powder into the mold. Continue alternating colors until the mold half is full. Repeat the process with the other half of the mold. Mound about 1/8th of an inch extra powder in the center of the molds.
SEVEN: Firmly press the two halves of the mold together. It helps to twist the mold as you’re pressing it together. Make sure the mold seals don’t have any powder in them so they can click together.
SEVEN: To use the bath bombs, crumble a bit into your tub or drop the whole bomb in and let it fizz!
